The O.C.I.A. stands for the Order of Christian Initiation for Adults. Each week, adults who are interested in learning more about the Catholic faith, get together at various different parishes in our deanery on Sunday afternoons from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Catholic beliefs related to different topics such as the Bible, Church History, the Saints, and the Sacraments are presented each week. The setting is informal and people are invited to ask questions, join the discussion, or just listen and reflect on the material presented. There is no pressure to become a Catholic, but many people do decide to enter the Church. We take you through the process beginning in September and culminating on the Easter Vigil where the candidates receive the Easter Sacraments. For more information please contact Linda Salmons @ 419-366-7778 or call the parish office @ 419-499-4274. We also welcome new team leaders to join in helping us bring the faith to our inquirers.
